Make Money Online: Real Information
83Okay, I'll tell you upfront that I can't tell you how to make $50,000 a month online. This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. You'll actually have to work to earn money the way I have. You also have to be a half-decent writer.
While I was surfing the net one night, I stumbled upon a website called Helium. It piqued my interest, so I spent a little time exploring it. The site claimed that writers could make money writing there. There was no cost to join, so I figured, "What the heck?"
I began writing a few articles on Helium, including a few on Marketplace - where publishers advertise titles for articles they need. The second month I was on Helium, I was delighted to discover that one of my articles had been chosen and purchased - for a whopping $16! You can't imagine how excited I was over a $16 sale. It gave me a boost of confidence, and I continued submitting articles to Marketplace.
Before long, my sales began to really add up. One day I sold 13 articles for $40 each. I've also sold articles on Helium Marketplace for $80, $100, and $200. There have been several months when I've earned $1,000 there. Not bad for extra spending money. And if I had been more dedicated, I could have earned more.
Your articles on Helium also earn money each month from page views. Google ads are placed on your article, and everytime someone reads your article online, you get a few cents. These coins add up quickly when you have a lot of articles on the site.
Another way to earn money on Helium is by winning one of the numerous writing contests. The topics are on a wide array of subjects, so you're sure to find one that interests you.
Another website for freelance writers is Constant Content. It's very similar to Helium's Marketplace. The publishers post articles they need, and authors write about the topics. The publisher picks the article that best fits his needs and purchases the article. In general, these articles do not pay as well as Helium, but they do often have a few $100 articles advertised.
Associated Content is similar to Helium and Constant Content. You submit an article, and the site makes you an offer on the article. The price is usually small, but you can also earn page views just like on Helium.
Recently, I've joined Hubpages. It doesn't purchase articles, but instead offers pageview payments. Writers have the opportunity to post Google Ads or ads from Ebay or Amazon on their articles. The more your articles are read, the more you'll earn. Hubpages is really fun! You can ad photos, videos, and slideshows to your articles. Their per-page views seem to pay more than Helium or Associated Content. Some writers are making good money on Hubpages, but like I said, I'm new and just learning my way around.
A neat thing about all three sites that offer page views is residual income. You'll continue to earn on your articles for the rest of your life, or until you remove the articles - which you can't do on Helium.
Will you get rich writing online? Probably not - at least, I won't. I don't know enough about the "hot" topics like technology and business. You can, however, make some decent extra money writing online, but you have to work at it.
