Spring Break ideas - Panama City Hotels

Panama City spring break trips? For kids in my neck of the woods, there’s seldom any question about where to go for Spring Break destinations. It’s PCB, baby! That’s Panama City Beach for those of you who are uninformed. PCB is located on Florida’s Panhandle – part of the beautiful “Redneck Riviera.” It’s where my girls went when they were part of the “Breaker” crowd, and they had a blast at Panama City Spring Break! Follow along to learn what Panama City spring break trips can include.

The beach here is awesome: dazzling white sand and gorgeous clear emerald water – 27 miles long. The snow-white sand is so white that it doesn’t get hot, so no flip-flops are required. And unlike some towns that frown on the rowdy Breakers, PCB welcomes them with open arms and plans all kinds of fun activities just for them. Some of these include bikini contests, booty-shaking contests, beach volleyball tournaments, and best tan competitions.

Panama City Spring Break is so famous that MTV always shows up. They have headquarters at one of the hotels and host all kinds of entertainment, including celebrity appearances from reality shows, rap stars, rock, stars, plus they always have some great concerts. And of course they’ll be shooting live, so you might just end up on TV! There are entire songs about Spring Break in PCB – just to give you an idea about its popularity.

PCB is getting the message out about Spring Break by sending info to millions of college students across the U.S. Local experts are thinking this could be the biggest, wildest Spring Break ever at PCB! Wow. That’s saying a lot, considering some of the previous zany Spring Breaks at Panama City.

Panama City Hotels

Panama City hotels and local businesses host all kinds of parties, contests, and other fun activities and entertainment. And the package deals and room prices offered by Panama City hotels are unbelievable! How ‘bout a beachfront room for under $125 per person for a week – a WHOLE week! Or what about a condo across the street from the beach for $99 per person for an entire week? Cheap spring break trips are totally available at Panama City Beach. Search online for more amazing deals, including coupons and discounts for Panama City hotels, restaurants, and amusements.

Most Panama City hotels are specially geared for Spring Break. These places expect horses of student revelers, and they welcome them with open arms. While most of the Panama City hotels require a responsible adult to be "in charge" of the room, you'll find that most of the rules and guidelines are pretty student-friendly.

Panama City - party central

PCB has lots of exciting bars and dance clubs. Most of them allow eighteen-year-olds to enter, but not to drink. To be honest, the local police often soften up during Spring Break – as long as you don’t get TOO crazy. Some of the favorites with the Spring Break crowd are Spinnaker, Coyote Ugly, Sharky’s, Stetsun’s, Schooners, and Club La Vela, the largest night club in the entire USA. In addition to dancing, clubs offer mechanical bulls, live Sumo wrestling, concerts, karaoke, billiard tournaments, and all-you-can-drink specials.

During the day, you can spend time at the beach swimming, sunning, snorkeling, jet skiing, fishing, shelling, or attending one of the famous beach parties. PCB also has some awesome amusement parks. One of these is Shipwreck Island, a water park that offers a huge wave pool, waterfalls, water slides, water cannons, tube slides, riding the rapids on an innertube, and a cool seventeenth-century ship that allows visitors to explore and swing from. Other parks include such things as dolphin encounters, giant mazes, miniature golf, go-carts, and arcades. There are also the amazing animals and shows at Zoo World, and the famous PCB Bungee Jump. You can also take a ride on the Sea Screamer, go parasailing, book passage on a pirate ship for a super fun adventure, or place yourself in a giant slingshot.

If shopping is your “thang,” you can hit the sprawling malls and the outlet centers. Of course, there are also lots of small shops that sell souvenirs, beach stuff, and specialty items, too.

When you need sustenance, you’ll find a world of food at PCB – burgers, sandwiches, pizza, hot dogs, Southern cuisine, Mexican, steaks, Chinese, Japanese, oysters on the half shell, barbecue, Italian, Greek, and the most wonderful fresh seafood ever!

PCB is expecting over 250,000 guests for Spring Break 2010. Lodgings are already beginning to fill up, so book yours soon. You don’t wanna miss this!

Another place for us to think about. I love being so close to the coast and Florida. Just a hop, skip, and a jump away.

Hi, Tams. Same here - we can be on the beach in a little over two hours. Thanks for visiting!

I hear ya, CM! I wouldn't go during Spring Break if the trip was free! I don't even care to go in the summer. September is the best time of year for PCB - unless you're under 25. Thanks for reading!
